Dr Vicky Jones has been a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners since 2014 and currently serves as a GP owner and Clinical Director at Katikati Medical Centre. With a diverse background that includes a Law Degree and a career as a Management Consultant at Accenture, Vicky brings a unique skill set to her role in General Practice, combining legal, business, and medical expertise.

Her passion for the future of General Practice is evident in her advocacy work, where she is known for being a strong voice in professional forums and in the media. Vicky’s focus is on ensuring that General Practice remains a key player in the healthcare landscape, with an emphasis on patient outcomes and the well-being of practice staff. She is also deeply committed to embedding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in her work.

Outside of her clinical responsibilities, Vicky has contributed thought leadership through articles published in national media, advocating for better consultation processes and more effective healthcare policies. Her pragmatic and collaborative approach, combined with a clear vision for the future, positions her as a forward-thinking leader in the sector.
